Golf Retail Senior Sales Person

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Golf Retail Senior Sales Person to join our team part time. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of merchandising, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service. This role involves assisting customers with their purchases, upselling products, and maintaining an organised retail environment. The successful applicant will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience and driving sales within our golf retail outlet.

Required to work 3 days a week - Monday, Thursday & Saturday 9-5pm

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on golf equipment, apparel, and accessories Assist customers in selecting suitable products based on their needs and preferences Upsell additional items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure the store is attractive and well-organised Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle phone enquiries with professionalism Keep the retail space tidy, organised, and fully stocked at all times Support inventory management by conducting stock checks and assisting with stock replenishment Provide information about product features, benefits, and current promotions to maximise sales potential

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales, preferably within a sporting goods or golf environment Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock management Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently without pressuring customers Good phone etiquette when dealing with customer enquiries or follow-up calls Organised with attention to detail, ensuring the retail space remains inviting and professional at all times Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in merchandising or visual presentation is desirable

Pay: £16,000.00-£18,000.00 per year
