Golf Course Groundskeeper

Job Summary:& & & The Founders Golf Club Groundskeeper completes a variety of tasks on a daily basis, including, but not limited to general landscaping, raking bunkers and debris, operating small powered equipment such as string trimmers, chainsaws and blowers, operating larger equipment such as walk-behind mowers, riding powers, tractors and other vehicles as routinely used in golf course maintenance and agricultural management. Other golf course-specific tasks may include changing hole locations, moving tee markers, hand watering and filling ball washers.& Supervisory Responsibilities:None& & & & & & & & & & & & & & & Physical Requirements:Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to function in an outdoor environment with high heat indexes consistent with a Florida climate. Will be subject to loud noises, fumes and smells associated with heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Must be able to operate large outdoor motorized vehicles legally and safely.& Required Skills and Education:Must be willing to work early mornings, weekends and holidays in an outdoor climate. & & Primary Job Tasks and Responsibilities:Maintain golf course and grounds by mowing, trimming, top dressing, applying turf treatments, maintaining bunkers, hole changing and other tasks associated with general grounds maintenanceOperate small equipment& tools such as string trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, rakes and shovelsOperate larger golf course maintenance equipment and vehicles such as commercial mowers, tractors and vehiclesAssist in maintaining clean, organized and safe work areasAdhere to club standards in regard to mannerisms, behavior, club policies and decorumComply with equipment usage guidelines and safety regulationsProactively communicate any safety or operational concerns to supervisors in a timely mannerExecute all other tasks as required by supervisor and attending periodic, mandatory meetings
