We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. This is a new position to assist with the grow-in and opening of our new Par 3 golf course starting construction in early summer 2026. Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Superintendent to ensure that the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans are maintained and followed
Supervise and assist maintenance staff in daily duties
Assist in the planning, organizing and direction of the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers
Supervise the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees and ornamental plants
Ensure that maintenance equipment is properly operating and report issues appropriately to Equipment Managers
Assist in the procurement of supplies and materials and ensure costs remain within budgetary limitations
Maintain records of annual maintenance activities and costs and assist with the preparation of required reports
Follow sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possible
Reconcile and provide timely coding of all invoices, payroll and other required documents
Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed including compliance with government regulations
Ensure associates obtain proper licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations; address all real or perceived environmental concerns directly
Manage department members that may include, but are not limited to: Mechanic, Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation Technician
Assure that effective orientation and training is given to each new associate; develop ongoing training programs
Monitor business volume forecast and plan accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses
Regular and reliable attendance
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil science with two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A valid FL driver's license and satisfactory driving record to meet standards of insurability are required. A Florida pesticide applicator's license, ability to work outdoors in various climates, and ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds is necessary.
Physical Demands:
Regularly stands, walks and sits; regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears
Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, tastes or smells
Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds; occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
