Lonesome Pine Country Club is accepting applications for the Golf Superintendent.  This is  full time, exempt position will a hands-on supervisory role overseeing the maintenance and development of the semi-private club.  This is a high-impact leadership role for a golf professional who values tradition, community, and excellence while driving modernization and long-term sustainability. Position Summary : The Golf Superintendent will manage the daily care, health, and appearance of the golf course’s turfgrass, plants, and overall grounds.  This position will assist with and direct the mowing, watering, fertilization, aeration, and pest control for the turfgrass in addition to managing maintenance of equipment. Key Responsibilities : Turf Management: Maintains accountability for property grounds including greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. Irrigation Systems:  Operates and maintains complex irrigation and drainage systems to keep grass healthy. Staff Leadership: Trains and supervises maintenance crew Equipment Care:  Manages fleet of mowers and sprayers, ensuring each is operating efficiently and safely Budgeting and Planning:  Provides direct feedback on resources for materials, labor, and capital improvement projects. Operations: Coordinates with General Manager to ensure property grounds are in playing conditions and assists with course set up for tournaments. Bachelor’s degree in golf course turf management, horticulture or Agronomy or equivalent and considerable experience in maintenance of golf course with at least 1 year of supervisory experience; Certified pesticides licenses from the department of agriculture; valid Driver License; GCSAA membership preferred but not required - Strong understanding of Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. - Strong understanding of golf operations and member services
