About the Role
The Director of Golf is responsible for the coordination, functional management and leadership of the golf operations which include Member & Guest Experience, Club Events, Course Setup, Practice Facility Set Up, and partnering with GCM to ensure an elite golf experience. The Director of Golf will be a supervisor of the Resort Director of Golf, Golf Head Professionals, Tournament Managers, and Assistant Professionals.
Responsibilities:Create, implement, report and analyze the Golf Operation plan including budget and all other golf related financial dutiesEstablish and enforce golf course policies, rules and regulationsOversee all golf programs and activitiesDevelop and oversee Omni Cultural pieces for the Golf OperationOST MeetingTrilogyAmbassador ProgramMirror ImagePower of OneMonthly StandardOmni Service ChampionsAssociate Opinion SurveyConduct Manager reviewsAssist with merchandising program and presentation of the golf shopOversee supply levels for all departments (Golf Shop, Carts, Etc.)Work closely with the GCM Department to coordinate turf care practices and course closures along with daily and tournament set upEnforce consistent discipline proceduresWork closely with the Club team to ensure all club & special interest group events are executed at a high level with member satisfaction in mindAssist with development of Policies and Procedures for the Member Golf OperationAssist with planning & coordination of all WGA, MGA/SMGA, and Club eventsCollaborate with Membership team to execute prospect tours & experiencesTrack & manage daily revenue and laborEnsure on course member and invited guest satisfactionSupport the recruitment, coaching and development of golf and PGA professionals throughout all stages of the PGA membership pathwayQualifications:Effective organizational and leadership skillsExemplary interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsPhysical Requirements:Must be neat in appearance accordance with Omni standardsWorking Environment:Interior and exterior of resortFast paced environmentJob Requirements:Class A PGA, minimum of 3 years’ experience as Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional, proficient in Word, Excel, POS, Electronic Tee Sheets, membership experience a plus, great people skills a must.
