Pesticide Applicator/ Fertilizer Technician

Perform chemical and fertilizer applications on golf course properties. Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations and is responsible for the safety and direction of chemical handlers and/or helpers. Calibrate spray equipment as required. Assist course superintendents in planning current and long-range spray programs. Maintain proper chemical inventory. Responsible for the direct preventive maintenance of all equipment associated with the task of spraying. Read, understand and keep current with all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations. Perform routine safety inspections on all spraying equipment. Follow label instructions and wear proper safety equipment. Serve as the point person and oversee a small labor force for special projects.
