Assistant Greenkeeper
CHESTFIELD GOLF CLUB - KENT - SOUTH EAST
An excellent opportunity has arisen at Chestfield Golf Club, a private member’s club in Kent. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Greenkeeper to join our already well-established team.
This 18-hole downland private member’s course in a striking setting has had considerable improvements made over the last few years. With a new automated irrigation system on greens and approaches. Furthermore, we have started a course improvement plan with the replacement of bunkers all completed in house. The club has also invested heavily in new machinery over the last 3 years.
Greenkeeping experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Desirable skills and Qualifications.
NVQ Level 2 in Greenkeeping or looking to work towards it.
NPTC Pesticide: Pa1, Pa6, Pa2a.
Chainsaw certificates in felling and cross cutting.
Key Criteria
Be enthusiastic and dynamic.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Willingness to start work early mornings
Position Details
Full Time - 40 hour week.
28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
Weekend and Bank Holiday duties carried out on a rota basis.
Benefits
Competitive salary between £24,000 - £30,000 based on experience and qualifications.
Overtime pay for additional hours & weekends on a 1 in 3 rota basis.
