About the Role
Job OverviewPromontory Club is a premier golf destination in Park City, Utah, featuring three golf courses: Dye Canyon, Nicklaus Painted Valley, and the Hills Par‑3.
This role supports golf operations during the summer season, starting in May and running through October, with the possibility of continuing as a full‑time employee after the season.
PositionClub Starter and/or Course Advisor (Course Marshall) – Full‑time Summer Seasonal.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor updates throughout the shift.Ensure all equipment (radios, carts, etc.) functions correctly.Greet golfers upon arrival and handle bag drop‑off, pick‑up, turn, or completion of rounds/practice.Provide directions to practice facilities, golf shop, locker room, and key holes such as #10.Set up carts with the correct sets of clubs/rentals and record starter cart numbers with corresponding groups.Accurately track time and help golfers start on schedule.Maintain cleanliness of the course and surrounding clubhouse areas; report maintenance issues to the golf shop.Keep the range tee organized and restock balls, tees, and caddy supplies as needed.Set up and restock the practice facility throughout the day.Collect range balls using picker or shag bags.Communicate pace‑of‑play information to members and guests and notify Professional Staff of potential issues.Follow all safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents or unsafe practices to management and complete required safety training.Perform other duties assigned by the Head Golf Pro.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (preferred). Must be at least 16 years old.Excellent oral communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.Self‑motivated with enthusiasm, outgoing personality, patience, and ability to remain non‑confrontational.Organized and able to work effectively in a fast‑changing, busy environment.Team player with a professional demeanor.Working Knowledge and ExpectationsAbide by Promontory policies and procedures; provide suggestions for improvement.Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining courteous and helpful service toward Club Members and staff.Communicate promptly and professionally with all personnel to keep members satisfied and well informed.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.Capable of lifting 30 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.Willingness to work nights, holidays, weekends, and varying hours as needed.BenefitsCompetitive wages starting at $20/hour, commensurate with experience.Holiday pay and uniform & equipment allowance.Access to golf on two award‑winning courses.EEO StatementPromontory Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
