Overview
Champions Retreat is a 27-Hole Private Golf Club located in Evans, Georgia. Champions Retreat plays host to the first two rounds of the Augusta National Women's Amateur. It is the only club in the world that has Nicklaus-Palmer-Player designs on the same property. Champions Retreat has approximately 600 members which fall in Resident, National, Corporate and International categories. The Club has 19 cottages on property which sleeps a total of 112 individuals. The Club runs 10-12 member events per year and infrequent corporate events that usually are held on Mondays. The Club has a multi-tee practice facility which also includes a full short game area.
Champions Retreat counts among it's membership many Touring Professionals who hold credentials on the PGA Tour, Champions Tour and Korn Ferry Tour. The Club does about 20,000-23,000 rounds annually with shop sales approaching $1.5 million.
Essential Responsibilities
-Utilize your skills in tournament operations by planning, organizing, and executing at least 2 Club tournaments from beginning to end. This includes signup, course marking, tournament set up and communication of results.
-Be a terrific ambassador for Champions Retreat and help impart the level of customer care and concierge experience we are known for
-Assist in merchandising operation by ensuring all stock items and golf operation needs are properly inventoried and assisting with monthly inventory counts.
-Will have the opportunity to build up tournament operations knowledge as Champions Retreat hosts the first two rounds of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur annually
-Unlimited opportunity to teach lessons to a diverse clientele. Will have the opportunity to increase teaching and biomechanics knowledge
-Enhance management skills by assisting with the scheduling and supervision of the outside services team
-Playing with members and their guests is an integral part of this position. Expected to work on game and compete in Georgia PGA Section events
-Become proficient in the golf operation systems including EZ Suites, Foretees and the USGA Handicap System
Benefits
Compensation: $60,000 – $75,000
Individual & Group Instruction: $2,500 – $7,500 (dependent upon teaching experience and skill level)
Holiday Bonus: $500
Education Allowance: Paid by Club for approved events/programs
PGA Dues: 100% paid by Club
Clothing Allowance: $500
