Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Garde Manger Chef / Salad Chef to join our culinary team. This role is vital in preparing and presenting cold dishes, salads, and garnishes that elevate our dining experience. The ideal candidate will bring energy, leadership, and culinary expertise to create visually stunning and delicious offerings for our members and guests.
Duties
Prepare and assemble cold dishes, salads, charcuterie boards, and garnishes with precision and creativity.Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all food handling practices.Assist in menu planning for cold appetizers, buffet stations, and catering events.Supervise food production processes related to cold kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.Manage inventory control for all ingredients used in cold dishes, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure smooth shift operations and timely service delivery.Oversee food presentation standards to ensure visually appealing displays that meet fine dining expectations.Qualifications
Proven experience in a garde manger or salad station within a fine dining or hospitality environment.Demonstrated banquet experience with the ability to manage large-scale cold food preparations.Supervising experience in a culinary setting, with strong team management skills.Knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety regulations essential for the food industry.Skilled in food production, catering, menu planning, and kitchen management.Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide culinary staff.Experience with inventory management, food handling, and cost control measures.Excellent cooking skills with a focus on presentation and quality assurance.
