About the Role
Position Summary
High Grove is seeking a professional, guest-focused Bartender/Mixologist to elevate our clubhouse beverage program. The ideal candidate combines refined cocktail technique and beverage knowledge with warm, attentive service. You will craft classic and signature cocktails, maintain exceptional presentation and cleanliness, and create memorable experiences that reflect High Grove standards.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, assist with seating as needed, and guide guests through food and beverage selections with thoughtful recommendations.
Beverage Preparation: Prepare classic and house cocktails to specification; pour beer and wine; maintain consistent presentation and garnish standards.
Operational Support: Set up and break down bar stations; batch mixers and syrups; stock inventory and maintain par levels.
Sanitation and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of bar tops, wells, tools, glassware, draft lines, and back bar; complete opening, shift, and closing checklists.
Issue Resolution: Address guest concerns promptly and escalate to management when appropriate to ensure satisfaction.
Compliance: Follow safety, hygiene, sanitation, and allergen procedures; comply with food safety standards and responsible beverage service laws; adhere to company incident reporting and intoxication intervention policies.
Certifications: Maintain required credentials such as Food Handler and TIPS or equivalent responsible beverage service certification, plus any local permits.
Schedule Flexibility: Work a flexible schedule to support service hours, including weekends and holidays.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks assigned to support club operations.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Age: 18 years.
Experience: 2–3 years front-of-house experience required; country club or cocktail bar experience preferred.
Beverage Knowledge: Working knowledge of classic cocktails, mixing techniques, beer styles, and wine service.
Technical Skills: Comfortable using POS systems
Personal Attributes: Strong communication, situational awareness, and the ability to multitask calmly under pressure.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for up to 8–10 hours, lift and carry 25–50 lbs, navigate stairs, and perform repetitive motions.
Language: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

About High Grove
High Grove Golf Club is a private, invitation-only destination nestled in the rolling orange groves of Central Florida. Designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, High Grove is being built to set a new standard for authentic golf and relaxed sophistication. The club will feature world-class golf, bespoke dining, and exceptional guest accommodations — with preview play already commencing in late 2025 and a full opening in 2026.
