The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently to keep equipment operating at peak performance.Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain all golf course maintenance equipment, including:Reel and rotary mowers (greens, tees, fairways, rough)Utility vehicles and cartsTractors, aerators, sprayers, and top dressersPerform reel grinding, bedknife setup, and sharpening (back lapping and relief grinding)Conduct preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtimeMaintain accurate service and repair recordsCommunicate equipment needs and repair status with the SuperintendentEnsure all equipment meets safety and manufacturer standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance facilityAssist with equipment purchasing recommendations and parts inventoryProvide basic training to staff on proper equipment operation and careOccasional weekend or early morning work as required during peak seasonQualifications2+ years of experience as a golf course mechanic or turf equipment technician (preferred)Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and small engine repair skillsExperience with reel grinding equipment and mower setupAbility to troubleshoot and work independentlyValid driver’s licenseAbility to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop and outdoor environmentWelding and fabrication skills a plusFamiliarity with Toro, John Deere, Jacobsen, or similar equipment preferredCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off (if applicable)Uniforms and tool allowance (if applicable)Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education
