About the Role
Riverton Country Club, located in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, is activity seeking a dynamic Head Golf Professional. The successful candidate will assist the PGA Director of Golf in all aspects of the operation for our Donald Ross designed 18-hole golf course, with a high emphasis on providing exceptional customer service for all members and guests. The professional would be exposed to all aspects of the daily golf department including, but not limited to, merchandising, tournaments, golf instruction, financial reporting, and staff management.

The Head Golf Professional will support the Director of Golf in overseeing and managing the golf operations. Working closely and cooperatively with other departments will be vital to success in this role. Daily management of both the Professional Staff as well as the Outside Operations team will require a highly organized and intuitive problem solver. Must have an outgoing personality with exceptional customer service, passion, leadership, and communication skills.
Head Golf Professional | Focus: Day-to-day execution, programming, and member engagement
• Assisting in managing all aspects of the entire Golf Operation including but not limited to the golf shop operation, golf instruction, outside operations team, locker rooms, tournament program, and golf shop merchandising.
• Promote and teach the game of golf, specifically the junior programming.
• Assist the Director of Golf in recruitment, hiring, training, and retention of professional staff that successfully services the needs of the membership.
• Responsible for the Golf Shop schedule and making sure coverage is properly distributed.
• Assists the Golf Shop Manager in physical inventory and display of merchandise.
• Assists with the Director of Golf in preparation of budgets by reviewing both revenue and expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
• Manages the Handicap System (GHIN) and reminder e-mails for posting.
• Assists the Director of Golf in developing the Club’s annual Golf Event Schedule.
• Ensures proper billing of daily charges and fees for all golf-related activities.
• Develop a close relationship with the General Manager, Clubhouse Manager, Food & Beverage, Golf Course Superintendent, Communications, and Human Resources.
• Assist the Director of Golf with communication to the membership regarding all golf related news and updates.
• Enforce all Club rules governing golf course usage while representing Riverton Country Club’s missions and values.
• Mentor and train our Assistant Professional staff and prepare them for career advancement.
• Performs other duties as needed assigned by the Director of Golf.
• Represent the club by playing golf with members, as time and responsibilities permit.
Qualifications & Experience:
• PGA Member in good standing.
• 3+ Years Experience as a Head Professional or Assistant Golf Professional
• Broad experience working with men, women, and juniors/children – we are a family focused Club.
• Experience with Golf Genius, Trackman, Jonas, ForeTees and Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from four-year college or university recommended.
