The Teaching Professional will work closely with the General Manager to promote and conduct golf instruction and player development programs to meet the needs/demands for all golfer segments in the local marketplace.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
PGA or LPGA Member preferredMust be a dedicated golf instructor with minimum 1 years related experience in golf instruction and club-fitting techniquesMust possess exceptional communication skillsHighly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quicklyMust be extremely organized, efficient and detail-orientedMust be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starterKnowledge of the local market is a plus
Responsibilities:
Works closely with the General Manager to plan and develop instruction programs that appeal to all golfer segments in the surrounding marketProvides golf instruction to private students and group participants as demand dictates and as neededTeaches summer camps as neededProvides training and development to other instructors as directed and as neededAssists in the Supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughoutAssists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent conditionUtilize state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and be able to integrate the use of training aids, video tape and club fitting into the facility’s instructional programs when necessaryParticipate in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction programPerform some of the opening and closing duties of the instruction program as directedRepresent the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and programsPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
