About The Country Club Located on 250 beautiful acres in Pepper Pike, Ohio, The Country Club is a family-oriented private club centered around an iconic 18-hole golf course. Designed by William Flynn and thoughtfully restored in 2022 by Gil Hanse, the layout consistently ranks among the best in the state and hosted the 1935 U.S. Amateur and 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur.

In this energetic position, you will be responsible for ensuring the golf course remains healthy and visually stunning by performing landscape maintenance/ turf care. Your dedication will help deliver an exceptional experience for players while fostering a safe and well-kept outdoor space. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, landscaping, and groundskeeping while working outdoors in a dynamic environment. Duties Perform daily course-maintenance tasks that produce the highest playing conditions for our members and guests Work primarily in the early mornings (5:30 or 6:00 a.m. start) Weekend availability is highly preferred during the season (5:30-9:00 a.m. one weekend day per week) Core duties include mowing (greens, tees, fairways, rough), string trimming, sod laying, bunker raking/ preparation, irrigation installation & repair, watering, planting, and landscape beautification Experienced hires will quickly move into higher-responsibility roles and specialized equipment operation Use hand tools and power tools safely for various groundskeeping activities Support general maintenance of course facilities by inspecting equipment and ensuring safety standards are met Collaborate with team members to execute capital improvement projects that enhance the course's aesthetic appeal Experience Prior golf course or landscape maintenance experience ( preferred not required) Strong work ethic, pride in producing a premier product, and attention to detail Capable of lifting 30+ lbs., walking long distances, bending, twisting, and operating hand/ power equipment safely Team player who communicates well and wants to grow their skillsPrevious experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners Familiarity with irrigation systems, lawn care practices, landscaping techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools is highly desirable Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and supporting team efforts Why Experienced Techs Love Working Here Be part of a tight-knit, professional agronomy crew on a historic, top-ranked private course State-of-the-art maintenance facility and the latest equipment & technology Daily lunch provided (included with every shift) Truly flexible scheduling to fit your needs Free employee golf on Mondays + generous golf shop discount Uniforms & all safety gear supplied Proven track record of advancing careers in turf management (many of our seasonal techs return year after year) Seasonal positions are eligible for: daily meals, flexible hours, free Monday golf, pro shop discount, safety equipment, and employee appreciation events Retirees enjoy tasks that are less strenuous and allows them to contribute and be on a golf course throughout the season.
