Compensation Range:Based on experience. Position Summary:The Food and Beverage Manager is a vital part of our management team and is responsible for overseeing all Food and Beverage (F&B) activities at the property. This involves setting budgets, bringing on new staff, training them, and making sure they are performing at their best. The F&B Manager will use all skills and insights to ensure guests are always happy and satisfied, sometimes even exceeding their expectations. Key Responsibilities:Provides daily management of the Front of House F&B DepartmentHires, supervises, and develops bartenders, beverage cart drivers, snack bar attendants, and other employees in the Front of House F&B DepartmentConducts training and refresher classes for all Front of House F&B personnel in the correct proceduresProvides daily oversight of Front of House F&B accounting proceduresManages forecasting and budgets pertaining to F&B operationsMaintains cost controls and conducts a monthly inventoryImplements and maintains F&B sales and marketing programsDevelops and implements marketing programs to increase banquet businessManages alcohol and beverage ordering; follows the purchase order (PO) buying processOversees quality assurance, guest service, and training of all employeesUpholds Troon Food and Beverage policiesInstitutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelinesFacilitates coordination between all departmentsDevelops and implements creative strategies to increase revenuesPlans and coordinates special events and functionsResponsible for overall guest satisfactionEnsures all employees are conducting themselves in a professional mannerPerforms daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulationsComplies with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other local and state lawsOversees closing procedures and appropriate cash handling practicesPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerMinimum Qualifications:Must have one to three years of related experience in F&B managementMust be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookKnowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor lawsMust have food and beverage, à la carte, and banquet experienceMust have strong business aptitudeMust have strong service orientationMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be highly organized, efficient, and detail-orientedMust have exceptional interpersonal skillsWorking Conditions:Physical activity including long periods (6–8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scoopingThe employee will regularly be required to reach with arms and handsThe employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 50 poundsUse of sight, reading, and wrist movement to serve meals and beverages, operate food service equipment, and clean food service areasSpecific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perceptionWork extended hours during golf and holiday seasonBenefits & Other Compensation:This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms:Healthcare Benefits – Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageRetirement Benefits – 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older)Time Off – Paid time off (PTO) and leaves of absence, in accordance with applicable law and eligibility criteriaAdditional Compensation – Eligibility for Bonuses, CommissionsEligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan of documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company’s discretion.
