The ideal candidate will foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive environment while promoting athletic and personal growth among student-athletes. Responsibilities: Develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive golf program that aligns with the school’s athletic mission.Instruct athletes in the fundamentals, techniques, and strategies of golf.Plan and lead practices, conditioning programs, and skill development sessions.Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and academic achievement among student-athletes.Oversee coaching staff, assistant coaches, and volunteers within the program.Manage team selection, competition lineups, and in-season adjustments.Ensure adherence to all school, district, and state athletic association rules and policies.Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.Organize and participate in fundraising, community outreach, and program-building activities.Maintain and inventory golf equipment and uniforms.Advocate for and support the growth of boys golf within the school and community.Qualifications: Prior coaching experience in golf, preferably at the high school level.Knowledge of golf techniques, training methods, and safety protocols.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.CPR/First Aid and coaching certifications (or willingness to obtain).Compliance with all background checks and school district requirements.Preferred Qualifications: Experience coaching golf.Teaching certification (if applying for a faculty position).Position Type:Full-time Job Categories: Athletics & Activities > Coaching Job RequirementsContact InformationDr. Everett Dickerson85 Mountain StreetAsheville, North Carolina 28801Phone: 828-350-7000Email:MapThe content you submit, offer, contribute, attach, post, or display (each a “Submission”) will be viewed by other users of the service who may or may not be accurately representing who they are or who they represent.
