The purpose of the Lead Assistant Golf Professional is to provide exceptional Club experiences for members and invited guests, maintaining consistently high levels of service throughout all facets of the Golf Operations.
This position plays a key role in anticipating members' expectations and upholding the Club's commitment to excellence and hospitality.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist in delivering a premier, world-class golf experience by fostering an exceptional member service culture and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for members, guests, and staff.Maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a positive, high-performance work environment that promotes teamwork, excellence, and camaraderie.Maintain active membership in the PGA of America and participate in professional development opportunities, including Firefly University, to enhance expertise in tournament operations, merchandising, customer relations, club repair, instruction, and golf operations.Manage daily golf operations by coordinating with starters and outside service staff, performing ranger duties, and ensuring a seamless member and guest experience.Assist with Golf Shop operations, including merchandising, inventory management, product promotion, and sales.Support player development programs by providing lessons and clinics as directed, collaborating with golf leadership, and serving as lead Junior Coordinator as the junior program expands.Coordinate and oversee Club-organized member events and games, ensuring successful planning and execution.Assist with recruiting, training, mentoring, and evaluating staff to support operational excellence and team development.Build strong relationships with members by engaging golfers of all skill levels and promoting participation in Club activities. Possess the ability to play golf at a high level. Be willing and available to assume new responsibilities as developed.
