About the Role
“___________ Country Club is seeking an Activities Director to join our team. The Activities Director will coordinate all member family and youth events as they relate to kids’ activities, camps, kid’s night out, holiday and family events and other various functions throughout the year. The Activities Director will report to the Corporate Wellness & Activities Director and the General Manager.

Responsibilities
Plans, monitors and supervises kids and adult social activities.Hires, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates children’s program staff as needed.Works with appropriate department leaders to develop, implement and supervise age-appropriate programming.Works with appropriate department leaders to create an exciting calendar of events for all ages.Works with appropriate department leaders to plan and evaluate ongoing programs and activities.Is present, as requested, at all membership functions such as Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Pool Parties, Holiday Events, and is to assist with such planned activitiesDesigns and utilizes designated space for youth events.Completes payroll timesheets for activity staffEnsures accurate and timely information is shared with members through approved channels.Collaborates with the marketing team to support digital outreach by creating and posting engaging social media content (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) that highlights club events and programs.Assists with club communications by providing photos, updates, and event details for the club calendar, weekly emails, flyers, The Tee Off Newsletter, the McConnell Messenger employee newsletter, and the club website—including uploading flyers, updating event listings, and ensuring timely, accurate information across all relevant pages.Coordinates & promotes monthly family, holiday, adult and kid events.Organizes and runs summer camp programWill communicate all details of all functions with Catering Manager and Club Manager and other department heads, to be published in standard company forms.Handles daily activities as needed for members including billing questions, bill payments, event questions, website login issues etc.Codes & files invoices as needed for the activity program.Responsible for coordinating volunteer work as part of the McConnell Footprints on the Green initiative.Assists the Sales and Marketing staff with photos and marketing pieces as neededIn charge of planning the yearly budget and sticking to the financials allowed.Provides quality service to all members and staff.Completes payroll timesheets as appropriate.Organizes and plans birthday and holiday parties as appropriate for the members’ children.Attend weekly staff meetings and Food & Beverage meetings.Attends company training/seminar events.Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the General Manager and/or Corporate Director of Activities.
Qualifications
Requires a high degree of administrative skills and executive ability and creativityExcellent oral and written communications skillsMinimum of 3-5 years related work experience in child/youth settingMinimum of 3-5 years related work experience in event planningCurrent CPR & First Aid CertificationProficiency in presentation of projectsProficient with computer technology and standard software programsActively use time-management system for appointments, projects, deadlines and follow-upAbility to effectively respond to feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the services provided to membersWe are all in Sales - assists with club tours and is highly knowledgeable of the Club’s culture and procedures respectively to membership inquiries, as needed
