## Join the TPC Summerlin Team
TPC Summerlin is a private par-72, 7,243-yard golf course located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Carved from a magnificent swath of rugged desert terrain by renowned golf course architect Bobby Weed, TPC Summerlin creates one of the most visually stunning tests of golf in Nevada. This is an entry-level Equipment Operator I / Greens Keeper position where you'll operate equipment and perform specific tasks to maintain our golf course grounds. You'll be compensated hourly at $16.25-$18.50 based on your experience.
## What You'll Be Doing
Your days will involve a variety of outdoor golf course maintenance activities. You'll maintain detailed logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each machine you work with. Daily responsibilities include keeping the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe, and cleaning machinery after each use. You'll inspect all machines and report any deficiencies to the Equipment Technician or management.
As part of your role, you'll perform routine golf course maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent I, or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II. Before performing any task, you'll be thoroughly trained on procedures and must follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual.
Specific tasks you'll handle include line trimming trees, shrubs, and posts; edging cart paths, sprinkler heads, and bunkers; ball mark repair; divot filling; sod laying; utility vehicle operations; blower operations; hand raking bunkers; walk top dress equipment operation; backhoe operation; and miscellaneous hand tool operations. You'll also handle special projects or other duties as assigned.
Safety is paramount—you'll be required to wear personal protective clothing and use protective equipment to comply with all established safety operating standards.
## What We're Looking For
You'll need at least a high school diploma or equivalent education. The ability to understand and follow directions is essential, along with the capacity to operate golf course machinery effectively. You must possess a valid driver's license.
This position is very active and requires you to be comfortable lifting, pulling, or pushing up to or over 50 pounds, as well as moving and lifting items with awkward weights. You'll work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions, so you need to be prepared for the elements. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
## The Work Environment
This position requires shifts as necessary based on business levels, so schedule flexibility is important. Travel is not expected. You'll have no direct supervisory responsibilities. An essential function of the job is the ability to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations that apply to this position.
