The Membership Relations
Director is responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing the overall member experience at a private club. This role focuses on member engagement, retention, communication, onboarding, and satisfaction while serving as a key liaison between members and club leadership.
The Membership Relations
Director works collaboratively with all departments to ensure exceptional service standards and a welcoming club culture. Foster strong relationships with members and their families to ensure a positive club experience. Develop and execute member engagement programs, social events, and communication initiatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for member concerns, feedback, and special requests. Monitor member satisfaction through surveys, personal outreach, and ongoing interaction. Promote a culture of hospitality and personalized service throughout the club.
Support membership recruitment efforts by assisting prospective members through the application and onboarding process. Maintain accurate membership records and databases. Analyze membership trends and prepare reports for club leadership.
Manage member communications including newsletters, email campaigns, announcements, and club updates. Collaborate with marketing teams to promote club events, amenities, and programming. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all member-facing materials.
Utilize social media and digital platforms to increase member engagement when appropriate. Partner with club departments to plan and execute member events, tournaments, dining experiences, and social activities. Assist with event promotion, reservations, and member participation tracking.
Attend club events to engage with members and ensure high service standards. Work closely with golf, food & beverage, fitness, racquet sports, and other departments to coordinate member services. Assist leadership in developing policies and procedures that enhance the member experience.
Support training initiatives focused on hospitality and member service excellence. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred. ~3–5+ years of experience in private clubs, hospitality, customer relations, or membership management. ~ Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. ~ Experience with CRM or membership management systems preferred. ~ Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for club events.
