I. Position Assistant Golf Professional II. Job Summary Assist golf professional with activities relating to the management and operation of the club’s golf program. Seasonal Position. III. Job Responsibilities & Duties Assumes golf professional’s duties in his or her absence and manage the operation in a professional and efficient manner. Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all patrons. Assists members by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations. Provide golf instruction, clinics and programs that are consistent with needs of membership. Work closely with other departments and mangers to coordinate events. Run Tournament operation and special events to the standards of Black Rock and Golf operation Responsible for updating all club information for golf shop prior to April 1. Manages the daily opening and closing of golf operations. Selects, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates for professional staff, golf shop and starters and rangers. Responsible for managing weekly payroll. Assist in monitoring special orders in the golf shop. Assists in ordering, receiving and stocking inventory. Assists Coordinates junior golf activities and programs. Performs starter or marshal duties as needed. Manages USGA handicap system; includes transmitting and posting reports. Attends staff meetings. Complete the requirements of PGA membership and maintain an active classification. Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the golf professional. Ability to lift 50 lbs. overhead using two hands. IV. Reports to Head Golf Professional V. Supervises Golf Shop Salesperson; Starter; Ranger, Outside Operations
