JOB
Performs difficult technical and responsible administrative work planning and overseeing the maintenance of the municipal golf course. Work is performed under general supervision.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of all golf course maintenance personnel•Maintains golf course grounds, fairways, tees, greens, irrigation and water systems involving general grass cutting, brush and bush clearing, the cutting, aeration, dressing and watering and sprinkler systems and the preparation and application of specialized chemicals, fertilizers, and soil enrichment materials. •Supervises and evaluates golf course greens maintenance subordinates.•Maintains and prepares records and reports as directed.•Oversees all functions of a small division or work unit/s •Develops business plans/staffing plans/models•Develops & implements goals, objectives and outcomes•Develops, implements and administers policies and procedures•Performs related tasks as required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Supervisory Responsibilities: •Supervision is exercised over subordinate personnel.•Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff.

Performs other related duties as assigned. All City of Bartow employees are considered EOC essential in times of emergency. An e-role will be provided to each employee when an emergency is declared.
