About the Role
Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club is a 36 hole semi-private country club with an extensive practice facility. The general responsibility of this position is assisting the Golf Course Superintendent in the organizing, planning and overseeing of the maintenance on one of the courses.
The main function of the assistant superintendent is training and overseeing staff members in daily tasks. Tasks must be done according to policies and procedures of Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club with the utmost attention to detail.
Responsibilities Also Include The Following
Operate and provide training to staff members on all equipment associated with golf course maintenance.Assign and develop work-efficient schedules to accomplish daily tasks and keep records of such.Occasionally apply fertilizer and chemicals.Must consistently monitor turf and general course conditions.Must give account of daily operation and progress of staff and conditions.
Candidates must have prior experience as an assistant superintendent.
Must have experience in all aspects of course maintenance including applying chemicals and fertilizer.
Candidates must have chemical applicators license or the ability to obtain one with in 60 days of employment.
About Lake Jovita Golf And Country Club
Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club is a semiprivate Country Club with 2 18 hole golf courses. The Club is located about 30 minutes north of Tampa in Pasco County. The club has other amenities such as tennis courts, swimming pool, bar and grille room and dining room. The course hosts many FSGA events, mini tour events and qualifiers. PGA Tour Professional Tom Lehman was the design consultant for the South Course.
