Maintenance Supervisor
Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and organized full-time Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep and repair of Marbella Country Club. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance experience and be comfortable handling a variety of tasks. Experience in a resort or property management environment is a plus, but not required. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe, functional, and attractive resort experience for all guests and residents.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Prior experience in maintenance, building repair, or a similar role.
Comfortable with general maintenance tasks such as light electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Ability or willingness to obtain a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within the first six months of employment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Experience in a resort, hospitality, or property management environment is a plus.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and work alongside a small team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support.
Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address any repairs or safety concerns around the resort.
Handle basic repair and maintenance tasks, including light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC work.
Assist in creating and maintaining a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce downtime and ensure everything runs smoothly.
Respond to maintenance requests promptly, ensuring quick resolution of issues.
Keep records of maintenance work, inventory, and supplies.
Work closely with property management and other departments to ensure maintenance needs are met.
Communicate with outside contractors and vendors as needed for larger repairs or specialized work.
Ensure compliance with basic safety standards and resort policies.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift moderately heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.
Occasional on-call availability for emergency repairs.
