About the Role
GENERAL NATURE OF WORK
The purpose of this position is to perform manual and unskilled work for the maintenance of the course. The employee will prepare and maintain golf course greens, fairways, and other golf course surfaces as required, ensuring compliance with all golfing regulations and standards. The work is physical in nature and under the direct supervision of the Golf Course Director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Course duties:
• Sets golf course up for play, to include cutting cups, setting tees, repairing greens, raking bunkers, and mowing greens and fairways.
• Maintains golf course, including bunkers, greens, driving range, and tee boxes; mows bunker faces; prunes trees; performs pest control.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs irrigation systems.
• Performs or oversees performance of golf cart maintenance.
• Assists in special construction projects as required.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Follows established safety procedures, utilizes safety equipment, and monitors work the environment to ensure the safety of employees and other individuals.
• Prepares or completes various forms, timecards, daily work sheets, or other documents.
• Communicates with supervisor, other departments, employees, the public, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
• Aids other employees or departments as needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization: Requires the ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions. Ability to drive a golf cart.
• Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize a variety of reference data and information.
• Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. May include counting, recording of counts, and basic measuring.
• Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Involves semi-routine standardized work.
• Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise minimal judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving a variety of pre-defined duties.
