About the position Mill Creek Country Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of a Greenskeeper. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service and exceptional turf conditions.\n\nAs the Golf Landscaper/Greenskeeper at Mill Creek Country Club (under the supervision of the golf course superintendent, assistant superintendent, or foreman) you will perform routine manual labor involved in and/or related to golf course maintenance (performing semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work). You will also operate small hand-powered equipment and occasionally perform work involving larger equipment/machines (tractors, fairway units, triplex mowers, walking mowers, etc.). Responsibilities Performs basic labor on the golf course.Maintains landscape beds around clubhouse and golf course grounds.Rakes and blows leaves, walkways, parking lots, cart storage areas, driveways, etc.Mows greens and fairways by operating walk-behind and riding turf equipment.Prepares and lays sod.Fills divots and repairs ball marks.Basic operation of utility vehicles, sod cutters, weed-eaters, hand-held blowers, small equipment/etc.Rakes and edges bunkers and periodically fills with sand.Loads and unloads materials.Repairs and maintains driving range tees.Cleans any/all equipment used on the golf course grounds.Digs holes and trenches to maintain or construct irrigation and drainage lines.Installs pipe and backfills excavations.Empties garbage cans.Attends staff meetings.Performs manual watering on the golf course.Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.Requirements Some High School.Knowledge of golf course operations.Knowledge of irrigation systems.Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in a timely manner.Cooperate with, and respect fellow employees.Presents a professional image at all times.Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position.Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.May need to use some protective equipment, such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots.Nice-to-haves Likes to work outside early in the mornings, has a strong work ethic with good attention to detail and an eagerness to learn new things.Knowledge of the game of Golf is a plus.Six months of experience in golf course grounds maintenance or greenskeeping is preferred, but not required.Benefits Golf Privileges on certain days of the week.Lunches provided during the week.Uniforms issued once hired.Pay Rate, \$19.00-\$25.00 (depending on experience.)Employee assistance program (EAP)Holiday PayPaid Sick LeaveMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceBasic Life InsuranceSupplemental Life InsuranceAD&DFlexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings AccountsHospital Care InsuranceAccidental Injury InsuranceCritical Care InsuranceDependent Care ReimbursementDisability InsurancePre-paid Legal PlanPrescription Drug CoveragePaid Time Off
