Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Golf Course Assistant Superintendent to join our team and help elevate the quality and playability of our golf course. In this vital role, you will assist in overseeing daily course maintenance, ensuring that the grounds are pristine, healthy, and inviting for players. You will lead landscaping and turf management efforts, coordinate maintenance activities, and support the overall aesthetic and functional excellence of the course. Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily turfgrass care, including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to maintain optimal playing conditions.
Supervise landscaping activities such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, and weed control to enhance course beauty and health.
Oversee irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues promptly.
Coordinate construction projects related to course improvements or renovations while maintaining safety standards.
Lead tree care initiatives including pruning, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and aesthetics.
Supervise staff involved in lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance, and general course upkeep.
Ensure all maintenance practices adhere to environmental regulations and best practices for sustainable land management.
Experience
Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or golf course groundskeeping with a focus on turf management.
Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or horticultural settings.
Strong background in lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilization, pest control, and aeration.
Knowledge of construction processes related to course development or renovation projects.
Familiarity with tree care practices such as pruning and health assessments.
Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $50,271.84 - $58,725.22 per year
