Job Overview
We are seeking a Front of House Assistant Manager that is energetic and eager to help lead our team in creating an exceptional member, and guest, experience throughout the various areas of food and beverage service at our private country club and golf course. In this role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations by helping to lead the staff during daily bar and dining service and member events. We are looking for someone with leadership skills that will inspire a positive environment where both team members and guests feel valued and satisfied. The person who accepts this role will also learn to assist with the planning and execution of banquets, fundraisers, and other non-member special events. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality management and eager to make a meaningful impact for our members, guests, and staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise front-of-house operations and cover bar and serving shifts as needed, which will include greeting guests and managing bar/table distribution to ensure all guests receive optimal service
Lead, train, and develop FOH staff to be able to deliver outstanding customer service in a cheerful atmosphere that focuses on providing consistency in both quality of service as well as food quality
Manage shift schedules, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to optimize team productivity
Oversee cash handling procedures and POS transactions (Club Prophet Systems)
Track and manage inventory levels of food and beverage items, minimizing waste and maintaining proper stock rotation
Ensure compliance with PA Liquor Control and state health regulations, food safety protocols, and cleanliness standards across the restaurant
Coordinate with BOH staff to ensure smooth food production, timely service, and quality control
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and understanding
Assist the F&B Manager in finding ways to increase the club's F&B NPS (Net Promoter Score) and then maintain that higher level of satisfaction in F&B products and services
Monitor member feedback, discuss with the F&B Manger, and implement necessary improvements when needed
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills to manage shift operations seamlessly in a fast-paced environment
Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with the ability to multitask and pivot as needed
Background in fine dining or casual dining settings is highly desirable
Experience working and leading FOH service for banquet events is a plus
Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing
Bartending or Barista experience preferred
Demonstrated leadership skills in hospitality management, staff training, and team supervision
Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop staff effectively
Ability to communicate and coordinate with vendors as needed
Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Google Docs proficiency preferred
Canva, Eventbrite or other design and event planning software knowledge desirable
Experience in visual online marketing production and editing are a plus
A PA RAMP Certification required within 14 days from hire date
Ability to work on your feet throughout a 6-10 hour shift and lift/move tables, chairs, cases of beer/soda, etc. as needed

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
