Equipment Manager

Position Summary

Rainier Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and self-motivated Equipment Manager. This is a hands-on position for an individual who enjoys diagnosing and repairing equipment and takes pride in keeping a golf course fleet operating at a high level.

Primary Responsibilities

- Perform daily inspection, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of the equipment fleet.

- Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, fuel systems, transmissions and other mechanical components.

- Maintain and repair commercial turf equipment, including all mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, aerifiers, sprayers and other specialized equipment.

- Set up, adjust, maintain and repair reel and rotary cutting units.

- Perform reel and bed knife grinding.

- Maintain accurate service and repair records for the equipment fleet.

- Communicate equipment problems, repair priorities and anticipated down time to the Golf Course Superintendent.

- Keep the equipment shop clean, safe and organized.

- Assist golf course maintenance staff with equipment operation and provide guidance on proper equipment use and care.
