About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help bring complex projects to life, from excavation to material transportation, contributing directly to the successful completion of infrastructure and building developments. Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery safely and efficiently across various construction sites.
Manage the operation of specialized vehicles including concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers to transport materials and support site activities.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
Assist with site preparation activities such as grading, excavation, loading/unloading materials, and site cleanup.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute tasks according to project plans and timelines.
Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active job sites with a strong understanding of construction processes.
Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on machinery.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving heavy trucks such as dump trucks, tanker trucks, or front loader trucks.
Familiarity with operating various machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and farm equipment.
Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices for operating heavy equipment in diverse environments.
Ability to read technical manuals and operate machinery with precision and care.
