Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily maintenance and presentation of the golf course, including mowing, trimming, and bunker care.Support the monitoring and basic repair of irrigation systems, effectively managing water to promote healthy turf conditions.Under supervision, apply fertilizers and pesticides while strictly adhering to safety and environmental standards.Help supervise and train grounds crew, organizing daily tasks and maintaining high work quality.Operate and perform basic maintenance on mowers, utility vehicles, and other turf care equipment.Inspect course conditions and report any issues related to turf stress, drainage, or safety hazards.Collaborate closely with the Golf Grounds Superintendent on course improvement initiatives and seasonal preparations.Ensure compliance with Marriott safety policies while maintaining a clean and organized maintenance facility.Required Skills:

Experience in golf course maintenance.Knowledge in turf management.Familiarity with irrigation systems.Understanding of fertilizer and pesticide application.Equipment operation and maintenance skills.Able to supervise crew effectively.Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.Landscape maintenance experience.Proficient in recordkeeping.
