About the Role
The Country Club of Virginia is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to oversee and elevate the aquatic experience for members and guests during the summer season. This leadership role ensures that the daily operations of the Aquatics Facility runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while fostering an engaging and welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Swimmer Experience & Member EngagementEnsure a positive, high-quality experience for all members and guests at the Aquatics FacilityDevelop engaging aquatic programming and member events that create personal connections and enhance the Club experience
Leadership & Staff Management
Hire, train, and schedule Pool Deck Attendants, ensuring a well-prepared and professional teamLead and support staff to maintain a culture of safety, service, and excellence
Facility & Operations Oversight
Supervise and participate in daily operations, ensuring consistency and efficiencyMaintain the facility, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and compliance with all health and safety regulationsOversee and implement protocols for inclement weather and emergency procedures
Safety & Rule Enforcement
Ensure the health and safety of all members, guests, and staff at all timesEnforce facility rules, provide first aid when necessary, and respond to emergencies promptly
Event Planning & Execution
Organize and oversee member events that align with the Club's standards and enhance community engagement
Ideal Candidate:A proactive leader with strong organizational and interpersonal skillsExperienced in aquatics, recreation management, or a related fieldCertified (or willing to become certified) in CPR, First Aid, and other relevant safety trainingPassionate about creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for members and staff alike
