About the position
Proof of the Pudding is seeking multiple Loading Dock Workers to join their traveling team for professional golf tournaments and races. This role is crucial for assisting with the moving and organization of product to maximize kitchen efficiency during events. The Loading Dock Team collaborates with Chefs and the Operations Team to organize items, prepare for kitchen distribution, verify inventories, and manage the breakdown of the loading/distribution dock post-event. The position offers competitive pay with ample overtime and involves domestic travel throughout the year, with trips typically lasting 2-5 weeks. Workdays can be long and demanding, often 12-15 hour shifts with no days off during events.
Responsibilities
Assist with monitoring stock and inventory throughout the eventHelp organize large deliveries multiple times per dayOrganize the prepared food storage trucksOperate food-service equipment in a safe mannerStores, labels, and dates all food items in accordance with health code and the Culinary Team’s instructionsReceiving Finished Product from Kitchen, safely storing in compliance with Proof and Health Department procedures, inventorying each item to meet production numbers.Pull and Organize locations stock in accordance with Culinary pull sheets, communicating shorts to Culinary leadPlan to fill shorts and or day of menu items and execute distribution of items to locationsClearing Storage Locations post-event, inventorying excess product, separating returns from donationsWorks with Culinary team to line up donation company for post-event, oversees process and communicationPerforms other related duties as requiredRequirements
