About the position
The Aronimink Golf Club Racquets Attendant will be responsible for the opening and closing the entire Racquets facility. They will also work closely with Office Manager and Director of Racquet Sports to ensure that all facilities remain clean and well-maintained. Racquets attendants will also be responsible for answering phones, interacting with members as well as handling pro shop sales. The communication between tennis attendants and the Director, Assistant Director and Office Manager, is critical to the efficient operation of the Racquets Department. The goal of the Racquets Attendant position is to assure that all members and guests are greeted to a warm welcome and a well-maintained safe facility.
Responsibilities
Opening and closing the entire Racquets facilityWorking closely with Office Manager and Director of Racquet Sports to ensure that all facilities remain clean and well-maintainedAnswering phonesInteracting with membersHandling pro shop salesRestocking necessary materials such as bottled water, refrigerated drinks, tennis/paddle balls, locker room supplies, towels, and kitchen suppliesBrushing and Cleaning outdoor tennis courts during the summer, and paddle courts and indoors during the winterClearing trash, loose balls, etc. around the common areas and entire facilityGathering trash and transporting to trash compactorsUsing a hand blower to clean leaves off court surfaces, walkways, and decking during the fallSpot checking facility for neatness/cleanliness multiple times throughout shiftTransporting dirty linens and towels to the main clubhouseTransporting food/beverages from the main clubhouse to tennis center for eventsCleaning and straightening up of all areas of tennis center including kitchen, office area, pro shop, and great roomMaking sure that the alarm is set, and lights, and fireplaces are turned off and all doors locked on departureDelivering a high level of member and guest serviceRequirements
Must be at least 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPossess basic knowledge of excellent service standards as well as etiquettePossess good communication and guest relation skillsAvailable to work weekends, evening shifts, and major holidaysMandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rulesRegular and predictable attendanceArrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance at all timesRequires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouchingAble to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistanceMust be able to multi-task several different actions at onceAble to drive a golf cart, license preferredNice-to-haves
