The role of Food & Beverage Manager at Winnetka Golf Club is a vital leadership position responsible for the comprehensive oversight and management of all food and beverage operations across the Club. This full-time position offers an attractive salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 and presents an exciting opportunity to shape and elevate the Club's food and beverage program largely from the ground up. The Manager will lead the execution of daily service activities, kitchen coordination, bar operations, and event catering, alongside managing seasonal programming. This hands-on role requires a dynamic leader who can develop menus, establish service models, implement efficient operational systems, and foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Key responsibilities also include staff recruitment, training, development, and performance management to build a skilled and motivated team. The Manager will be instrumental in cost control, labor management, inventory oversight, and ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Collaborating closely with the General Manager and other department heads, the Food & Beverage Manager will drive revenue growth, enhance operational efficiencies, and cultivate a premier dining experience that aligns with the Club's high standards and community-focused mission. This position demands a strategic thinker with strong fiscal management skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.
College degree preferred
5 years applicable functional, supervisory and/or management experience
Demonstrated experience and capability in the areas of budget development and fiscal management
Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal
Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently
Ability to handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
