About the Role
SALARY RANGE - This position is part of the union, and the wage is established by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Current Rate is $29.88/hour. The Engineer, is responsible for ensuring that the property is maintained in the best possible condition at all times. The role is responsible for repairing, inspecting and general maintenance of utility services, inventory supplies and tools.
Essential Functions
Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
Make repairs of broken items, fixtures, and hardware, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, masonry, flooring, kitchen equipment, and light concrete work
Inspect equipment and facilities on a regular basis and trouble shoot to determine necessary repairs.
Take required readings on equipment.
Test boilers and record readings.
Replace and program televisions as needed.
Replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
Perform furniture repair and replace and repair pumps.
Perform plumbing repairs (i.e. clogged drains, copper pipe, change washers, change handles, drain fittings, etc).
Understand and be able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Trace and repair all types of water lines.
Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
Perform and maintain work to local, state, and federal codes.
Test, clean and repair swimming pools, and spas.
Paint designated areas.
Repair and finish sheet rock.
Repair all types of wall coverings.
Repair and program resort electronic lock system.
Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar capacity is a must.
At least one year of progressive experience in a resort or related field preferred.
Working Conditions and Schedule
Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures, including temperatures above 100° F.
Must be able to use hand tools.
Work requires exposure to chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, slippery/unstable/unlevel working surfaces.
This role requires operating a golf cart.
