Maintains all grounds including the 27 hole golf course, clubhouse surrounds and other landscaped areasSupervises all agronomic practices and other care of turf, plants, shrubs and treesHires, supervises, and develops assistant, foreman, irrigation technician and other employees in the maintenance departmentInforms ownership about present and future maintenance activitiesCoordinates scheduling of all personnel assigned to the maintenance departmentCommunicates frequently with the General Manger and Corporate Director of Agronomy to discuss activities, goals, plans and customer feedback.Provides feedback to the HOA and communicates with them on a regular basisPrepares and manages annual budget plan for the golf course maintenance operation on an annual basisMaintains inventory and oversees all repairs and scheduled maintenance of all golf course maintenance equipmentImplements and enforces comprehensive safety programSupervises maintenance and operation of drainage, irrigation and other central watering systemsDevelops chemical and fertilizing agronomic plan with Corporate AgronomistEnsures that the golf course is providing healthy and high quality playing conditions for guests of the propertyPrepares and maintains all recordkeeping for maintenance department including pesticide applications
Spanish Speaking is a plus, but not required. This is a fantastic entry level superintendent job in the high desert. Budgeting, Ag Plans, and Irrigation systems are already in place that would allow a fresh talent to grow and gain experience. Movement throughout our portfolio of managed clubs is also advantageous to someone looking to grow in the industry. This property has been a great feeder facility to other Superintendent Jobs in the region.
