About the Role Our client, a prestigious golf resort located in the heart of Silicon Valley, is searching for an experienced and charismatic Head Golf Professional to lead their esteemed golf operations. This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the golf experience, from instruction and player development to retail management and course operations. You will be the face of our golf facility, ensuring an exceptional and memorable experience for every member and guest. Key Responsibilities Manage and direct all golf operations, including the pro shop, driving range, and practice facilities. Develop, implement, and market comprehensive golf instructional programs for players of all skill levels, including private lessons, clinics, and junior camps. Oversee golf tournament and event planning and execution, ensuring smooth operations and high participant satisfaction. Manage inventory, merchandising, and sales within the golf shop, driving revenue and maintaining brand standards. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise golf staff, fostering a team-oriented and customer-focused environment. Collaborate with course superintendents and management to ensure the playability and presentation of the golf course. Develop and manage the annual budget for the golf operations department. Cultivate strong relationships with members and guests, serving as the primary point of contact for golf-related inquiries and concerns. Uphold the highest standards of service, etiquette, and professionalism. Requirements PGA or LPGA certification is mandatory. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in golf professional roles, with at least 3 years in a Head Professional or Director of Golf capacity. Proven track record in teaching, coaching, and player development. Demonstrated experience in golf retail management and merchandising. Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency in golf operations management software and POS systems. Experience in planning and executing successful golf tournaments and events. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Golf Management, or a related field is preferred.
