About the Role:
TGA of the Twin Cities is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Youth Golf Instructor to inspire the next generation of golfers in the southeast Metro! This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your love of golf with the rewarding experience of mentoring and teaching young players in a fun, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Instruct youth golfers in fundamental skills including grip, stance, swing mechanics, and course etiquettePlan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate golf lessons and curriculum for beginner to intermediate junior playersSupervise and manage groups of youth participants in a safe and positive learning environmentEncourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the gameCommunicate progress and feedback to parents and program coordinatorsSet up and break down equipment and instructional materials before and after sessionsServe as a positive role model and mentor for youth participants
Requirements:
Experience playing golf with a solid understanding of the game's fundamentalsPrior experience working with children or youth in a teaching, coaching, or mentoring capacityStrong communication and classroom management skillsEnergetic, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for youth developmentMust be available weekdays between 2:00-8:00pm for afterschool and evening classesCPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtainReliable transportation to program locations in the Farmington, Cottage Grove and Lakeville, MN area
