The purpose of the Server Assistant position is to provide back up support for the F&B servers by ensuring that tables are properly set up, cleaned and maintained. Provides superior guest service and responds to member/guest needs quickly and efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
· Perform duties as outlined in the Server Assistant Training Manual.
· Exhibit cleanliness and appropriate behaviors as outlined in the grooming standards.
· Greet members/guests in a pleasant manner using their last names and ensuring that they feel welcome and comfortable.
· Immediately provide water and bread to each table as it is seated.
· Perform buffet duties as called for and assist in serving the buffet.
· Clear and reset tables in a timely, efficient, clean, neat, and professional manner.
· Set up and delivery of to-go orders ensuring that all items are included in the orders.
· Provide assistance in other areas as needed.
· Attend all pre-meal meetings, staff meetings and training meetings as requested by the Food & Beverage Manager or Assistant Food & Beverage Director.
· Perform coffee set-up in lodge. Maintain coffee supplies, keeping accompaniments filled to par. Breakdown coffee station each day.
· Organize, stock and clean storage areas.
· Perform any other duties that may be required by management from time to time.
Qualifications and Characteristics Required
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
· Any combination of education or experience necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position. High school degree preferred.
· Must have a minimum of 1-year previous work experience. Prior experience in hospitality and food service desired.
· Ability to communicate effectively with the Dining Room Supervisor, other employees, guests and members.
· Ability to provide exceptional guest service and follow instructions.
· Ability to answer phones, take orders and ensure that information is correctly communicated.
· Ability to handle and manipulate heavy trays for prolonged periods of time.
· Ability to work well with staff and contribute to a positive “team environment”.
Physical/Mental Requirements
· Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
· Must be able to endure long periods of standing, sitting, bending, squatting, and walking.
