Passenger Vehicle Drivers transport staff members to parking and housing destinations that may vary daily. They operate a range of vehicles, from small cars to vans. Passenger vehicle drivers must stay alert to ensure their passengers' safety, especially in heavy traffic or bad weather.
Passenger vehicle drivers typically do the following:
Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations
Follow a planned route or drive to a requested destination
Help passengers, including those with disabilities, get into and out of the vehicle
Obey traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations
Follow procedures to ensure passenger safety
Keep passengers informed of possible traffic delays
Maintain vehicle by checking tires, lights, and oil
Keep the vehicle clean and presentable
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License
Friendly demeanor with experience in customer service
Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
The worker may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and other outside weather conditions
