About the Role
### **Overview**
The Assistant Golf Professional supports the Head Golf Professional in managing all aspects of golf operations, including the practice facility, staff supervision and training, merchandising, tournaments, and member programs. This role combines exceptional member-facing service and high-quality golf instruction with proactive leadership, engagement in all member groups, and representing the club within the broader golf community.
### **Experience Required**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Golf Professional.
- Class “A” Member of the PGA of America (or PGA of Canada equivalent with active status).
- Experience at a private club with the highest standards of member service and operations.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to meet physical demands of golf course/club environment (lift/carry up to 50 lbs, extended standing/walking, outdoor conditions).

- PGA Certification – Preferred
- Enrollment in PGA Apprentice/PGM Program – Preferred
- High School Diploma – Preferred
### **Essential Responsibilities**
• *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES **include the following:
- Provide outstanding customer service, professional advice, and assistance to all
- members and guests.
- Assist in the daily management of the practice facility and golf operations.
- Deliver individual and group instruction, including clinics, with enthusiasm and expert
- Supervise, schedule, and train golf staff in coordination with the Head Golf Professional.
- Support merchandising operations, including purchasing, receiving, displaying,
- inventory control, promotions, and sales.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, both on and off club
- Actively promote and support club activities, events, and tournaments.
- Stay current with modern teaching methods, club-fitting technology, and golf industry
- Take a leadership role in men’s golf programs, weekly events, and tournaments.
- Engage with members by playing golf across all groups, including Men, Women, Seniors,and Juniors.
- Represent Woodhaven in the community, as well as in sectional and national tournaments, to elevate the club’s professional presence.
- Pursue continuing education opportunities to expand knowledge in all areas of the golf
- Maintain close communication with supervisors and club management to ensure seamless teamwork and operational excellence.
