The South Williamsport Area School District is accepting applications for the following positions: Dean of Students / Assistant Principal South Williamsport Area School District is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and student-centered Dean of Students/Assistant Principal for our Kindergarten-5th grade program. This leadership role will focus on fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive school climate with a strong emphasis on: • Student behavior and discipline • Mental health and wellness • Social-emotional learning (SEL) • Proactive classroom support and student engagement The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a deep understanding of child development, trauma-informed practices, and positive behavior interventions. This is an Act 93, 200-day position. Long-Term Guidance Substitute at Jr/Sr High School Anticipated dates are mid-October 2025 through end of January 2026. Position pays $175 per day. Candidates should possess: • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to inspire and motive students • Proficiency in playing / instructing Woodwind / Brass / Percussion • Willingness to work with Band Director / Music Department to execute program goals • Have flexible schedule Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not required and/or degree in music or related field is a plus, but not essential. This contracted position follows the school year calendar with expected hours of 15 hours per week for duration of school year.
