About Lake Toxaway Country Club Lake
Toxaway Country Club is a premier private mountain club located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, just minutes from Cashiers, Highlands, and Brevard. Rich in history dating back to the early 1900s, the Lake Toxaway community has long served as a retreat for families seeking the natural beauty, tranquility, and outdoor lifestyle of the mountains while enjoying meaningful connections with friends and family. One of the Club’s most distinctive advantages is its accessibility.
Although surrounded by some of North Carolina’s most scenic and unspoiled mountain landscapes, Lake Toxaway remains conveniently located within driving distance of major metropolitan areas including Atlanta, Charlotte, Asheville, and Columbia, making it a highly desirable seasonal and weekend destination for members and their families. The Club’s recently transformed clubhouse reflects a sophisticated “Lakeside Lodge” design inspired by the surrounding mountain environment. The renovation joined two existing buildings into a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient facility featuring cedar shake siding, stone accents, and timeless architectural details.
Inside, members enjoy a variety of dining and social experiences, including a casual grille with indoor and outdoor walk-up bar service, expanded covered patio seating with panoramic lake, mountain and golf course views, and a grand ballroom highlighted by a dramatic gable window and covered porch overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. In recognition of the Club’s elevated dining program and facility enhancements, the clubhouse renovation received Golf Inc.’s prestigious Golden Fork Award for “Most Improved Restaurant” in the private club category.
