Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Greens Keeper. You will play a vital role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our golf course, while working to build and expand the course to 18-holes. This is an outdoor, hands-on position that requires knowledge and experience in GOLF COURSES. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older. **PRIOR WORK AT AN EXISTING GOLF COURSE IS REQUIRED. Landscapers and casual yard workers need not apply.
Duties:
- Safely perform regular turf maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, raking, on Greens, Approaches, Fairways, Rough
- Safely use hand tools and power tools to maintain and repair course
- Assist with irrigation system installation and maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by picking up trash and tree debris
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
Experience:
- MUST have previous experience on a golf course. This is not a mowing grandma’s yard type job.
- MUST pass Homeland Security Background Check
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in grounds maintenance
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment used for outdoor maintenance tasks
- Ability to operate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently
- Experience with tree trimming and care techniques is a plus
Requirements:
- MUST be at least 18 years old or older
- MUST have previous experience in golf course management
- MUST pass Homeland Security Background Check
- Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting and manual labor for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes
We offer competitive pay based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
