About the Role
SUMMARY: The Greenskeeper is responsible for assisting in the general upkeep andmaintenance of the golf greens. S/he will be involved in the precision mowingof greens, tees, aprons, approaches, fairways, roughs, bunker maintenance,divot repair program, and a variety of golf course maintenance programs, suchas aerifying, verticutting, and topdressing. The Greenskeeper will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards. The Greenskeeper shall strive to provideexceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/hewill be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well aspromoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
Essential job FUNCTIONS:
Properly mows greens and teesOperates tractors, using specific attachments, to till, cultivate, and grade new turf areasAssists with landscaping; planting, cultivating, pruning, care of plants, shrubs and trees on golf courseResponsible for bunker maintenance Repairs divots throughout courseRakes sand trapsComplies with all Wild Dunes Resort's policies, procedures and safety regulations Maintains a strong knowledge of emergency procedures Attends appropriate resort, division and department meetingsProvides general resort information for guestsOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name when possible & good eye contact with each guestInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessary Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude Communicates all pertinent information to the golf maintenance teamMaintains a professional appearance. Follows all Wild Dunes Resort dress code standardsRemains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times

experience &education: High school education or equivalent required Prior landscaping experience preferred Prior golf maintenance experience strongly preferred At least one year customer service experience preferred

Working CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, sun & heat)Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfacesMust be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs and very occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistanceMust be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel & twist on an frequent basis, sometimes for prolonged periodsMust be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; overhead reaching and fine manipulation occasionally.
