Banquet Server or Banquet Bartender

Banquet Server / Bartender Position Type: Part-Time / Event-Based Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Food & Beverage Management Pay Range: $18–$25 per hour, based on experience and capabilities Position Summary We are seeking dependable, professional, and service-oriented Banquet Servers/Bartenders to assist with weddings, golf outings, private parties, club events, and other special functions. This is a hands-on position that includes both guest service and the physical setup and teardown of events. Team members must be comfortable moving tables, chairs, event equipment, and supplies before and after functions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide professional and attentive food and beverage service during banquet and club events.Set up banquet rooms, patios, bars, and other event spaces according to event specifications.Move, carry, set up, and break down tables and chairs as required for events.Assist with complete event teardown, including clearing tables, removing linens, moving furniture, and resetting rooms.Set tables with linens, silverware, glassware, china, centerpieces, and other event materials.Serve plated meals, buffets, passed appetizers, and beverages.Set up, stock, operate, and break down banquet bars when assigned.Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with club policies and applicable laws.Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service and bar areas throughout events.Clear dishes, glassware, and other items promptly and professionally.Assist fellow banquet, culinary, and clubhouse team members as needed.Follow event timelines and instructions provided by banquet and food & beverage management.Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with members and guests.Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety procedures.Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and move tables, chairs, beverage cases, trays, and other banquet equipment.Ability to lift approximately 40–50 pounds as needed.Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on the event.Qualifications Previous banquet, restaurant, serving, bartending, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Dependable and punctual.Must be willing to assist with both service and physical event setup/teardown responsibilities.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, weddings, golf outings, and special events.Bartenders must meet applicable age and alcohol-service certification requirements.The ideal candidate understands that banquet service is a team effort. This position is not limited to serving or bartending. All banquet staff are expected to assist with setting up and tearing down events, including moving tables and chairs, resetting rooms, and preparing spaces for the next function.
