About the Role

Supports the director of golf, manager of golf, and 1st assistant golf professional in the overall operations of the golf course, driving range, Par 3, and golf shop. Assists with managing daily golf operations, including monitoring and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, supervising golf staff, helping with merchandising functions, working tournaments, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RES RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with inventory sales, receive merchandise, display merchandise, and promote merchandise daily to provide accurate records.Assist with starting times and make decisions relating to starting times daily.Monitors play on the golf course and is responsible for enforcing golf course rules and regulations.Resolves customer complaints in a professional manner.Delivers customer service with a smile using courteous, patient, and professional language.Assist with total golf operations professionally and efficiently in the absence of the manager of golf, director of golf, and 1st assistant golf professional.Professionally conducts oneself and maintains a professional image at all times.Assists in managing tournaments and outings.Open and close the golf shop and be available to work in the early morning and evening hours.OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESDirects other personnel and completes any task necessary to maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentable condition of clubhouse and par 3 buildings.Keeps all rental equipment clean and usable daily.Collects and cleans range balls, shovels snow, and serves as a backup for other maintenance issues.Completes other duties or tasks as assigned.SUPERVISIVE DUTIESSupervises part-time golf staff. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESMinimum age: 18Knowledge of computer hardware and software for golf operations.Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as assigned by the director of golf, manager of golf, and 1st assistant golf professional.Ability to respond to a 24-hour alarm system.Ability to shovel snow, paint, move non-running golf carts, change cart tires, and serve as back up for other maintenance issues as needed.Excellent Communication skills required.Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks.Ability to work with little supervision and be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player.A high school diploma or GED and one to three years of related experience. The job involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and various outdoor weather conditions, including wet and humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. Additionally, the work environment may have moderate to loud noise levels. Physical Activity(s):Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
