As a Golf Equipment Operator, you will support daily golf course maintenance operations within our Golf Division. This role is responsible for operating specialized turf and grounds equipment to maintain course conditions at a high standard of playability and appearance. The ideal candidate has experience operating equipment on golf courses or similar environments and takes pride in precision, safety, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Operate golf course maintenance equipment such as riding mowers, reel mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, turf vacs, skip-loaders, aerifiers, sprayers, and specialty turf equipmentPerform daily mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounds as assignedAssist with course maintenance activities including bunker maintenance, debris removal, edging, and general grounds careMonitor turf conditions and report issues such as disease, stress, or damage to supervisorsPerform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance such as cleaning, fueling, and blade checksFollow daily work schedules, mowing patterns, and course setup instructionsAdhere to all safety policies, equipment guidelines, and course rulesSupport tournament setup, special events, and seasonal course preparationMaintain clean and orderly work areas, equipment storage, and maintenance zonesPerforming other tasks as assignedRequirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred2+ years of experience operating landscape or turf maintenance equipmentAbility to safely operate mowing and utility equipmentAbility to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and consistency in work qualityAbility to follow directions and work independently or as part of a teamWillingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as requiredReliable transportationNice-to-haves
Experience working on golf courses, athletic fields, or high-end turf environmentsFamiliarity with reel mowing techniques and turf management standardsExperience preparing courses for tournaments or special eventsBasic knowledge of irrigation systems and turf health indicatorsBilingual (English/Spanish) communication skillsStrong teamwork and communication skillsInterest in advancing into senior equipment operator, crew leader, or turf management rolesValid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to pass an MVR checkBenefits
